Breastfeeding

One of the first decisions new parents make is how to feed their new born. Many health professionals agree that the ideal method is breastfeeding, though for some women this is not the best choice for physical, health, or personal reasons. For some mothers, breastfeeding is an easy transition. For others it may take some time and patient before the process is a smooth one.It is perfectly normal for it to take some time and practice. A lactation consultant should visit you in the hospital to help you get started. Even though breastfeeding is not your only option, there are many benefits to using this method to nourish your new born in the beginning. Breastfeeding can aid the physical, emotional, and, practical needs of both the baby and the mother.

An important decision all parents make is how they will feed their baby. Comfort with what is familiar to us and common in our own culture often influences our decision. Yet many parents wish to provide their baby with the best possible start in life, including the optimal feeding relationship perfected over the millennial for human babies. Although most people must heard that "breast is best", few are aware of the extent of the advantages that breastfeeding provides the entire family. Human milk is all that healthy babies need from birth through the first half-year of life, and should remain in a significant of a baby's diet for many more months beyond. A breastfeeding infant receives ideal nutrition and numerous health promoting factors that vary throughout each feeding and as babies needs change. Breast milk increases in fat content during each feeding. Babies get to experience different tastes as human milk may be flavored by the foods mother eats, enhancing later food acceptance.

Parents of new baby have a million things to do, but menu planning isn't usually a top priority. Until that baby is four to six months old, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even the infamous middle-of-the-night feeding, the menu items are either breast milk or infant formula. For any woman planning to have children, making the decision of how to feed their baby is a crucial one. It needs to be made long before that baby is conceived. The nutrition a baby receives in the first months of life is what gives it a good or bad start. For each mother that brings a child home from the hospital, a choice must be made that will affect the rest of the child's life. The question is often raised whether an infant raised on formula is as healthy and advantaged as an infant raised on mother's milk. There are some arguments, but on the whole experts agree on one one thing. To really come to a conclusion, all the benefits, effects, the harms of both infant formula and breast milk must be considered.

a simple request

June 8,2011

Dear PNoy,

I am a student of Ilocos Sur National High School, asking for a little portion of your attention. Through this simple letter, I want to express my observations on what's happening to our country and give my opinion for its betterment. it's all about us,"the Youth." There's a simple saying, "Youth for the future" which reminds that the children can give a big help. We can do great things to save our country most especially from poverty. But how? How can we help if we are being set aside? Mr. President, can you not see those children walking along the street without food to eat? Without their parents to guide and take good care of them? Without slippers and proper clothing? How I wish you can spend a little of your time to help them. To give them food to eat, clothes to wear, and even a simple home for them to stay at. If only I have that good kind of life, I am very willing to help but I'm just a student which is depending on my family. You are the right person I know who can solve this problem and I hope that you will do something for it.

Another is about education. We,the children are said to be the next and the future leaders and role models. But we need this education the most to learn. A good leader should not only have the ability to lead but he/she must also have enough knowledge about the things that are happening, he/she must know what is right and what is wrong and these can be learned by the aid of education. Please help us especially those who are needy and do not have enough money to go schooling.

I hope that this simple request will be granted as soon as possible because as far as I know, every child can do something and that something will start the change to our country.

Yours truly,

Adelyn Anne Bundoc
